Bakesale for Foundation of Slum Child Care

We start off this year [2023] with a bake sale with the aim of raising funds for the organisation we are supporting this year, the Foundation of Slum Child Care. On January 6th, Teenworks hosted a bake sale in order to raise funds to buy necessities, such as food, educational resources, hygienic products and more, to donate. Because of the hard work our members put into this event and the sponsors that gave us the materials needed to host this bake sale (BTS, Turtle, Chef man and VGI), we were able to sell various treats at the Siam BTS station such as brownies, butter cakes, matcha cookies and more! We ended up raising a total of 69,226 baht that was used to purchase essentials and donated to the Foundation of Slum Child Care.

About the Foundation of Slum Child Care

Slum Child Care is a foundation that works under Princess Galyani Vadhana with the aim of taking care of underprivileged children of ages 5 months up until 5 years old. This foundation specifically helps children that are born in slum communities of Bangkok with low-income families that might suffer from starvation or abuse. This is a big issue as more than 1,200 slums can be found within Bangkok and which is why Teenworks have decided to support the Slum Child care Foundation.

Thank you to everyone that came to our bake sale to buy some of our home-made treats and supported us through donations as well as the sponsors that made this bake sale possible!
